Wooly stemodia
A great native groundcover that loves neglect, except when planted (needs good soil). The silver-gray foliage makes a welcome contrast to greenery. Drought-tolerant — doesn't like getting overwatered, so make sure the soil drains well (If foliage is green, you likely are watering too much). Works well in perennial beds, cascading from a hanging pot or other sunny container. Also good in rock gardens to fill in empty areas. Small light blue tending toward purplish flowers are a bonus. The silver-gray foliage is soft and attractive. Goes dormant and gets grayer in winter. Shear the plant back in late winter so new growth can fill in. There is nothing not to like about this plant.
